Beech

Origin:

West and Central Europe

Color:

Soft yellow to light brownish red

Characteristics:

Plain structure with fine pores scattered throughout.

Application:

Beech is used for high-quality furniture up to and including avant-garde furniture. Because it is simple and easy to combine with other materials, beech is one of the most frequently used veneers. Apart from door construction, beech is also used in interior finishing.

Unobtrusive, sober, clear and self-evident, but at the same time warm, familiar and natural. A classic with a soft, sentimental feeling.

Did you know ...

... that managed forests, thanks to their high proportion of young, strong, growing trees, enable CO2 to be extracted?

... that an old, unmanaged forest produces as much CO2 through processes of decomposition and decay as it stores, and that therefore an unmanaged forest contributes nothing to reducing global CO2?
