Color:

The heartwood is light brown to reddish brown, the sapwood reddish white

Characteristics:

Himalaya Cedar has entirely straight fibers and a uniform texture, while Atlas and Lebanon Cedar, by contrast, is usually knotty with extremely irregular fiber growth.

Application:

For parquet, cigar boxes, toys, furniture, interior finishing, doors and, thanks to its resistance to weathering, in shipbuilding and hydraulic engineering. Its knotty material is used for lawn furniture, while select logs are made into veneer.
