WengeOrigin: West Africa (from Cameroon to the Congo) Color: The sapwood is gray-white, the heartwood is fresh and light, later darkening to coffee brown. Characteristics: Wenge is very decorative, with its coarse pores exhibiting light or dark filler. Slightly shimmering medullary rays are visible.
